Rampart Technical Systems is currently hiring a Civilian Harm Mitigation and Response Technician (CHMRT) to support the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Directorate for Operations (J3), Training and Education Division (J3-T&E) in Tampa, FL. Rampart Technical Systems provides information systems support, analytical and technical support, and materials to assist the J3-T&E in carrying out training and education responsibilities and actions necessary to develop Special Operations Forces (SOF).
The USSOCOM J3-T&E ensures the timely delivery of focused training, education and assessment solutions to SOF. The J3-T&E facilitates the validation of training requirements and resources, training plan development, training systems technical support, and the coordination of training and education programs that support SOF readiness. The J3-T&E also ensures USSOCOM complies with DoD’s Civilian Harm Mitigation and Response Action Plan (CHMR-AP) by developing integration protocols to complement systems in place. Specific responsibilities include:
- Monitor progress to comply with DoD directed timelines.
- Create metrics that display the degree of effectiveness for the SOF CHMR program.
- Provide planning expertise to identify priorities and highlight challenges.
- Contribute analytical support to initial CIVCAS / CIVHARM.
- Employ the directed CCMD response option as required.
- Train and educate SOF by integrating CHMR technical requirements into all levels of commands’ training and exercise program.
- Provide technical expertise to evaluations during certification efforts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree in relevant area (military studies, business, education, instructional design, et.al.). The combination of specialized training, education, and experience (including military service) equivalent to a degree and required years of experience may be acceptable.
- High degree of understanding as a staff officer within HQ USSOCOM, a Service HQ, or a CCMD HQ (4-Star military HQ).
- Understanding and knowledge of the missions, core activities, roles, and functions of USSOCOM and its components.
- Possess knowledge in strategic-level planning (e.g., operational design, military decision-making process, campaigning, and contingency plan development, etc.).
- Demonstrated expertise in oral and written communications.
- Possess knowledge and proficiency in using the following systems and tools: Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS), Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS), Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS), Execution Management System, In-Transit Visibility (ITV) system, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must possess a TOP SECRET security clearance.
- Must provide identity verification and eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must complete a thorough background check and be able to pass a drug & alcohol screening.
- Must be willing to travel to various CONUS and OCONUS non-hazardous locations.
- Must be willing to work overtime.
- Must possess a valid US driver's license.
- Must be fluent (speak, read, write) in English.
