POSITION SUMMARY:
Seeking a highly motivated, yet flexible individual to be part of a fast-paced, fast-growing Aviation company lead by ex-military professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as requested.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, work with General Manager and Staff Accountant to manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure efficient use of financial resources.
- Audit & Compliance: Coordinate timing and procedures with external audits, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and tax filings.
- Accounting Records Maintenance: Perform/review cash and balance sheet account reconciliations; verify capitalized expenses comply with company policy; calculate, record and maintain monthly depreciation and amortization schedules and year-end roll forwards, ensure all intercompany transactions are recorded and all related accounts reconcile, adjust period-end inventory changes between GL and physical counts.
- Operational Support: Provide insights to the CEO and financial team on cost-saving opportunities as well as operational and procedural efficiencies.
Qualifications- CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite – specifically Excel & Word.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to compile and interpret complex data for decision-making.
- Experience working in industries with rigorous operational demands (aviation, manufacturing, or similar fields preferred).
